Blue, White and Gold Theme Christmas Tree

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend

Today, I’ll be sharing details about our Christmas tree, where I got everything for the tree as well as a ribbon trick I used on this year’s blue, white and gold theme.  Now, I am not an expert on this, I usually do my research, try my best and hope I get nice results. 

 I started by combining both ribbons. I used a wider gold ribbon as the base and added a thinner glittery ribbon on top. I recommend using wire ribbons for flexibility and adjustments around the tree.  Use your judgement as to how long you want to cut both ribbons. At the top of the tree, the ribbons will be shorter and as I work my way to the bottom, the ribbons will be longer. Since the ribbons are wire, they are easy to adjust on the tree for placement. Step away from the tree, make sure you like where you placed your ribbons, adjust and continue until you are satisfied with your result and reach the bottom. 

Details about the Tree – I actually got it last year at Walmart , I didn’t find a flock tree at Target and I didn’t want to make a mess by spraying the tree. I usually invest in a good – long lasting tree but for now, until I have my forever home, will work just fine.   

Now we get into the fun part, placing the ornaments all around the tree! 

I started by adding the blue ornaments first to be front and center, then I worked with the gold shimmery stars, following the white shimmery ornaments and fillers. Last, I left all the round white ornaments to fill in any holes or open space around the tree. Then… The tree top!  

Details about the Ornaments – I used a couple of white round ornaments from last years’s Christmas tree decor and invested in some nice blue ornaments, additional white and gold.
