Baby Jumi’s Baby shower

HI!

Baby Showers…. when a soon-to-be Mother is celebrated for expecting a baby, and I was celebrated indeed, Ryan too – lol

Having a COVID Baby was and perhaps still is challenging during this time. Between making sure everyone had a negative COVID test to no venues that would actually host a baby shower.. I was not planning to have one at all.. but it’s such a milestone to give up. I didn’t want to feel as if I would regret not having one. In the end, it all boiled down to family. I haven’t seen my family since early Jan 2020 and prior to being pregnant. Now more than ever I wanted to be among family, which was so HARD for me.

Luckily,  my doctor said I was clear to fly. Ryan and I decided if we did have a baby shower it was now or never. We booked our tickets to Miami, and I went straight to planning the shower with my best friend. Only 20 weeks into my pregnancy, we went with a drive-by baby shower without games – which was OK as long as I got to see my family!

Due to living in New York but having a shower in Miami I went with this cute invitation and also a blue/white and beige/gold theme.

Thanks to Miami weather, our Baby shower was in December, which is cool weather and perfect for outdoor.

I am beyond thankful for everyone who showed up, sent gifts, messages etc. We APPRECIATE you!

I am also beyond thankful for my bestfriend.. She was determined to throw me a baby shower and it exceeded all my expectations and more.
